After 2 panes of glass in my mother's conservatory spontaneously exploded, one of which was in the roof. Apauling customer service. Contradicting themselves with every e-mail or phone call. She suggested fitting window film to the roof panes so the next one to go won't crash down in a thousand pieces. Their response was to say if she did it would invalidate the warranty. No apology, no concern, totally unprofessional, accusing my 81 yr old mother of breaking it on purpose! The bottom line, profit before people. They said they were fully confident that it won't happen again, amazing as its something Pilkington glass can't! Now left with a conservatory no one will enter. Now taking the complaint up with the GGF.
On the whole we were very satisfied with First Home Improvements. Initially there was a problem with the completion date but this was resolved. The staff who worked on site were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. We are pleased with the look of our conservatory and the quality of their products.
Very pleased from start to finish. Michael, who fitted the door, arrived on time and did a very good job. He answered any questions we had and was very professional.when He had finished fitting the door he explained how to use the locking system, and left the area looking clean and tidy.We are very happy with our new door, and would recommend you to our friends.
Rude sales staff is an understatement. We decided to go with another company for n the end due to reviews etc. The salesman was incredibly rude and just hung up when I said no for the 5th time. Maybe if you were polite to potential customers you wouldnt need to cold call and your reputation would be enough but currently Ive not heard or read one good thing about the company !
Product is excellent and great quality but the scaffolding is still up and I really wish the company would let us know when things are not going to plan instead of not turning up and not phoning to explain or say when the work will be done. Very difficult to get someone to phone back until I threatened to contact the finance company.However we have had some excellent and extensive work carried out by First Home Improvements and it is definitely a good idea to spend a bit extra for the quality.
