Always have a lovely lunch here. Often just me and my little boy who loves the fish goujons. The staff are so helpful and will often stop and have a chat with him. Nothing seems to much for them It's often the place me and the other half will pop into on a rare night out for the great cocktail deals or the super shots. Great value for money. It's always clean and warm. Looking forward to getting on the decking in summer to enjoy the mere
The food I had was good honest food I had the pie which was very good.The waitress service was OK but the manager female just looks at me very scary like and can't seem to bring herself to communicate in a way a manager and possibly owner should it's all about customer service. Maybe she was having a bad day again. .
I wish I could leave 0 stars.. but unfortunately I can't. On arrival, there were no bar staff to be seen. After 15-20 minutes the manager shows up to serve us. Sighing her way to the bar she looked up and said "what do you want?" As if it was a hassle to be surving us at all. The food turned up in record time... I would have preferred if they took the time to cook our food properly. Although the waitresses were excellent! And THEY made me feel welcome. It did not make up for the managers rudeness. A smile does not cost anything. As of today I won't be returning, as I have an unsettled stomach due to under cooked food.
Visited with my family on Christmas day for Christmas lunch, You have to book in advance for Christmas day. Was very impressed with the staff. The food arrived promptly & hot. The staff didn't hoover around & there wasn't any rush to finish & leave. I have visited here before & always been happy with the service & prices
Nice atmosphere and very good place to eat. A varied menu and reasonably priced. A lovely place in the summer with seating outside looking across the mere. Always a warm welcome whatever time of year.
