Great service, lovely meal. The function room has been up dated since I last visited and is looking really smart and up to date. Very enjoyable evening.
Called these people, to make an enquiry, understandably they were closing but the lady on the phone was more interested in leaving for the day then helping me with some advise on anywhere open in order to help my young sister left alone on Christmas Day with a new born baby!! And rudely hung up the phone without letting me finish my conversation of enquiries!! So much for Christmas spirit!! I was in mid conversation and she over spoke me and said nah, sorry were now closed and now going and hung up!!! Would not recommend this place now!! And maybe a little customer service training would be a great opportunity for this individual!.
Had a super carvery, plenty of veg and generous portions of meat. Puddings too are help yourself. Plenty of room on the table and not rushed to finish.
Had the Sunday carvery, which was OK. Choice of Turkey, Pork, Gammon or Beef. Had the beef, which was two adequate slices. Apparently, the gammon was very good. Veg selection OK - cauliflower cheese and duchess potatoes were particularly good. Service was reasonable, beers were good. Tea and coffee was help yourself and was dreadful. Overall, it was OK.
Been many times before, always excellent food at a very reasonable price. Staff are lovely, they are friendly and the service is great. Nice atmosphere. They also provide functions for a variety of occasions.
